energy policy Werkse!
To understand our CO2 emissions, we determine them twice a year. This provides a clear overview and allows us to set the right targets for reducing them. Werkse! aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 58% by 2027, compared to 2022. Starting in 2024, we aim to conduct research or invest in a number of measures. This will drastically reduce gas, fuel, and electricity consumption. The objectives for each category, as well as the measures, can be found in the policy document. here the policy document.
Energy consumption
In 2023, we began mapping our CO2 emissions with the aim of reducing them. We adhere to the guidelines of the Performance Ladder 3.1 and achieved the CO2-conscious Level 3 Certificate. To gain inspiration and knowledge about reducing emissions, we joined Positive Impact FoundationWe also participate in Delft Energy Neutral meetings and Cedris meetings.

About the CO2 Performance Ladder
The CO2 Performance Ladder consists of five levels. Up to level 3, organizations focus on the CO2 emissions of their own activities. From levels 4 and 5 onwards, emissions throughout the entire chain and sector are also addressed. The certification requirements consist of four components:
- Insight: analysis of energy flows and CO2 footprint
- Reduction: development of CO2 reduction targets
- Transparency: clear communication about our CO2 policy
- Participation: taking part in sector initiatives aimed at CO2 reduction
