Werkse! colleagues stick to artwork with 110,851 Delft residents

Colleagues from Werkse! Were recently allowed to participate in a special art project by visual artist René Jacobs. He came to Werkse! With part of his work of art ‘WE ARE DELFT’ and one hundred miniature dolls. That caused a lot of nosey looks and enthusiastic reactions. About 100 colleagues from Werkse! Helped and pasted their own doll on the artwork. Below you can see an impression of no less than 88 colleagues who participated.

About WIJ ZIJN DELFT project

‘The face on Delft’ by Johannes Vermeer but made with 110,851 small dolls, or one for each Delfter. Visual artist René Jacobs came up with the luminous idea of immortaling Vermeer’s masterpiece and inviting all of Delft to come and stick his own doll. The work must be completed on December 15, 2025, the 350th day of Vermeer’s death. The artwork will be given a place in the Vermeer Centre Delft.
