The municipality of Delft has started a pilot to guide asylum seekers from the Manderspark and Campanile hotel reception locations faster to work and day activities. In this process, the municipality works closely with the COA and Werkse!.
Really! Offers participants support in their development towards work. The guidance is tailored to their personal situation and opportunities on the labour market. In addition, attention is paid to learning the Dutch language and getting to know the Dutch work culture.
The goal of the pilot is to make asylum seekers integrate faster, fill open vacancies and reduce the risk of illegal labour. The trial responds to the relaxed regulations that allow asylum seekers to work throughout the year.
The pilot runs until the end of 2026 and is fully funded by the municipality of Delft. At the beginning of 2027, it will be decided whether the initiative will be followed up.
