Assertiveness – setting and monitoring boundaries
What will you do?
Being assertive means expressing your thoughts, feelings, and opinions clearly and honestly. You stand up for yourself, but you do so with respect for others and yourself. You set your boundaries without getting angry or hurting others.
In this training, you’ll learn what it means when someone crosses your boundaries and how to recognize these signals. You’ll also learn why it’s sometimes difficult to set your boundaries (pitfalls) and why it’s important to do so anyway. We’ll practice giving and receiving feedback.
