Party! First awarding of the Werkse! Professional schools

Jan Willem Kiers, Mobility & Development coordinator, emphasised how happy he was that so many employees could celebrate a great step. He briefly talked about the vocational schools. After that, all attention focussed on what it’s really about: the employees who have obtained their certificates and declarations.

Some employees came forward very enthusiastically and talked about their performance, others had to get used to the spotlights. But one feeling prevailed: pride. Proud of the hard work, persevering and achieving this milestone. Their leaders spoke nice words about the growth of their team members: ‘You have the drive to get better every day’ and ‘What a topper!’. After the official moment with autographs and photos, it was concluded with cake – because we celebrate successes together!

Really! Has 6 vocational schools where people work, receive a salary and learn a trade. In a safe environment, employees practice with work assignments, obtain recognised certificates, work on their sustainable employability and increase their chances of a good job after vocational school. With the employee, we look at what is needed to build a stable future. We offer extra help with, for example, money matters, housing or personal development. For this we work together with other organisations.
