Start collaboration between FRAIM and Werkse!: Making work future-proof

How do we make work future-proof and people-oriented? FRAIM and Werkse! Join forces to investigate that at the department where Verstegen’s herbs are packaged.

FRAIM, a transdisciplinary research and innovation center at TU Delft, brings together knowledge from different fields: technology, psychology, design and organization. This creates ideas that are not only technically innovative, but also people-oriented and actually work with them.

During the kick-off of this project, the FRAIM team received a tour from Roel Baars, manager of the relevant department. The researchers got a first impression of how the work is now organized and what challenges this entails.

In the coming months, the team, together with employees, will look for a practical solution that makes the work lighter and maintains or even improves the quality. The researchers at FRAIM want to come up with innovative solutions together with the employees on the floor. Gert van Emmerik, manager Assembly & Packaging: ‘The out-of-the-box thinking of the FRAIM team already brings energy and pride to the floor. We expect to be able to take real steps in both production and employee happiness.’
